Firefighters work on Tuesday to extinguish a fire that has been burning since Saturday at forestry co-operative NCT in Richards Bay, KwaZulu-Natal. According to GM Danny Knoesel, the damage is estimated at billions of rand. Reuters reports Transnet as saying Richards Bay port remains fully operational. Firefighters are using water bombing, aerial firefighting and the release of dry chemical products, with private companies such as Mondi, South 32 and Richards Bay Minerals helping the City of uMhlathuze.
